The 32 year old Ferris was educated at the
California Military Academy and Rensseler
Polytechnic Institute, where he received an
engineering degree in 1881.

Iceland Volcano Eruption - April 2010

We have no desire to move to Iceland!
900 feet above the mighty Colorado River stands
the two sides of the new $160 million Hoover Dam bridge.
The bridge will carry a new section of US Route 93
past the bottleneck of the old road which can be seen
twisting and winding around and across the dam itself.
Being deathly affraid of heights, we have no desire to live here either.
Ever wonder what the bottom of an iceberg looks like?
Yes... we have no interest in living here either.
There you have it. Chicago and the world 1886 to 2011.   Back to Top
